My heart

Is it time to give your heart some love?

Someone in the UK has a heart attack every two minutes. One in three of those people will die within 24 hours.

Poor diet, lack of exercise and smoking are the main offenders behind England's high number of deaths from heart disease. Visit NHS Choices for more tips, online tools and general advice on looking after your heart.

However, you’re far more likely to succeed with some extra guidance and support – explore the links on the left to find out about local services that are here to help you.

Don't forget that weight, physical activity and smoking are all important factors in heart health, so check out the services available under My Weight, My Activity Levels and My Smoking too.
